Dreams Practicals
Project DREAMS, an acronym for Diabetes Resources, Education, Awareness, Advocacy, Mentorship, and Support, is a flagship initiative by the P. Kesavadev Trust. This project represents the third phase of the Trust's ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives of those affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). With a comprehensive approach that encompasses education, advocacy, and collaboration with governmental bodies, Project DREAMS aims to provide a robust support system for individuals with T1D, enabling them to achieve better health outcomes and improved quality of life.
About DREAMS Practicals:
DREAMS Practicals is a targeted campaign within the broader Project DREAMS, focusing on hands-on educational experiences for T1D individuals, their parents, and teachers. The initiative began its first phase by covering multiple districts, with each session designed to address practical aspects of daily diabetes management through interactive learning and group activities.
The series of practical sessions commenced with the first session in Thiruvananthapuram, followed by subsequent sessions in Kollam, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Kochi. Each session focused on progressively building the participants knowledge and skills in managing T1D, ranging from basic diabetes education to more complex insulin management and lifestyle adjustments.
